Amidst the rush

Life moves quickly. It asks us to hurry, to arrive, to become.

Somewhere between the rushing and the arriving, there is a choice. To pause. To notice the interview, the aisle, the stage, the doorway. The mornings we rehearsed for, and the ones that arrived anyway.

We do not choose what life brings us. We choose how we walk through it.

Pause. Then walk.
